I love short wedding dresses. Remember, when it comes to choosing “The One”, the dress should suit the setting but most importantly you. Be true to yourself. Take your mother gown shopping with you, so you can both share the wonderful experience together. A bride choosing a short dress has just as many options as a bride looking at long. More and more designers are including them in their collections. It can be soft and flowing, short and sweet or a glitzy and glam ball gown. If you have decided on a theme for your wedding, you can even follow a retro vibe. Short is perfect for the backyard, beach, cocktail reception or maybe even a fun Vegas trip! After choosing your dream dress, you can personalize it with fun acessories such as gloves, a short puffy veil, caged veil, headbands or even flowers and feathers. Oh, and dont forget to treat yourself to those stunning pair of shoes you have seen in white or in your favorite color. Once your mother sees just how stunning and happy you are, I’m sure she’ll fall in love with the look just as much as you did.

“My wedding is not until December 2011. Is it too early to start shopping for wedding gowns?”

I will agree that December does seem a long way off but you would be surprised how quickly the big day can come around. Why not grab your girlfriend and spend the day shopping?

The new bridal styles for 2011 have just arrived in your local bridal salons and they are waiting for you to try on. There are so many different trends in bridal that finding a style that looks good and feels good will be easy. Just remember to have fun.

If you think you found the perfect dress ask your bridal consultant the following. How long does it take to order a gown? Will you be able to hold it in storage? Will they do alterations closer to the wedding date?
